There is nothing wrong in dreaming of a perfect world, but it takes a lot of naivety to think that somebody will build it for you. I would first like to start off by stating that I am staunch TDP supporter for my own reasons and that I am a Kamma (not by choice). Whether those reading this feel it is my caste preference that causes me to lean this way politically is completely up to them.<BR/><BR/>Pointing inconsistancies in your post, TDP is not a Kamma party. If you choose to make classifications, TDP is the ONLY party that has the best mix of caste and gender in AP, period! To label the party Kamma because of its leadership is incorrect at various levels. As an educated person, I am sure you are aware that you should choose a candidate based on their capability rather than their caste. To think that Chiranjeevi will somehow be the solution to all problems because you have seen him do a few good things on the silver screen is absolutely outrageous. Chiranjeevi is definitely a gentleman and humanitarian, but it takes more than that to be a leader. For example, I could walk down the street from my home in india to a slum, and choose to start helping those needing it the most. And I could keep doing this for years! But that does not automatically qualify me for any sort of political position, because I know I am a person of major flaws, as is everyone else. For one, I tend to be very emotional. Chiranjeevi may enter politics as a "NEED" more than by "CHOICE". A person of his economic status needs to be close to the Power teet of the state to protect it. What better a way to do this than to be part of the political system itself. I know I would do it. The same explanation serves for news papers that you deem to be religiously/caste affiliated. If you can show that a News Paper prints because its affiliated political party tells it to do so, I would agree with you. But this does not happen. Newspapers mostly avoid/downplay or overstate news items based on their affiliation. There are papers that completely fabricate news, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out they are of cheap journalistic quality. Please try to relate with what happened when NTR came to power. Did we prosper, NO! The reason not being that he dint care, but that he dint know how to do it. He was just a man of words and unrealistic promises. look at where the 2 Ruppees a rice bag scheme took the state treasury. Chandrababu, in my opinion is still truly the only decent choice as far as governance goes. Chiranjeevi may turn out to be a good leader too, but please, make sure he is capable of it in the first place by letting him serve at a lower level first! These are LIVES we are talking about, not a fancy caste competition! And to those of you who think a separate Telangana will help, You are dead wrong!
